A Study Tour is a fantastic way to learn English while you are here enjoying a short tour of Australia. It gives you a valuable experience to enjoy the culture the sights, the language and history of the country and to improve your written and spoken English.

Students are taught by experienced, qualified and friendly teachers employing effective teaching strategies. Classes are designed to be interesting through the use of a variety of learning styles.

Games and sports activities will be arranged in our College gymnasium.(Golf lessons will be taught in Hays Golf Academy).Class handouts and notes will be provided. A number of cultural activities and excursions will be organised

A graduating ceremony will be held at the end of the study tour and a Certificate of Participation will be awarded.

Short Term ESL Study Tours


Hays International College in collaboration with other Educational tour agencies offer a range of short term study tour programs to meet the different needs of different groups.

The study tours are for both secondary and tertiary students with ages ranging from 15 to 25. We organise a range of study activities and excursions to help you improve your English and to enrich your experience while you are in Australia.

Homestay for younger students can also be arranged for the duration of the study tour, this will give them the added advantage of experiencing the warm hospital of an Australian Family and the opportunity to interact and practice their English with an English speaking family. Older students can take advantage of our in campus student accommodation.

We have 4 different options for study tours:

Brief stay - a taste of Melbourne
A 3 days English intensive class
+ 1 day tour of Melbourne



2 weeks Melbourne experience
2 weeks English enhancement course with study and fun activities and excursions built into the program





4 weeks Australian Immersion
A rigorous intensive English tuition program that is specifically tailored for overseas students. Classes include lessons and exercises on Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

Students will be able to go into various places to practice what they have learnt in the classroom to better experience the cultural, historical, educational facets of the country and to appreciate the unique lifestyle of Australia.





4 weeks English intensive course with golf as elective
This course is designed in conjunction with our own Hays Golf Academy. Golf enthusiasts who are keen to improve their English and also have Australian professional golf teachers give them lessons on the finer aspects of golf will be excited with this new course that is offered by the college.

They can take advantage of our 4 weeks English course integrated with opportunities to learn and play better golf in a number of golf courses in Victoria. They can return from their study tour with improved English and better golf skills having enjoyed playing golf in Victoria and savoured the highlights of the Australia tourist scene.



Homestay
Homestay organised by the college is a further option. Homestay, living with one other student in an English speaking family, provides the student with a memorable and valuable experience. It allows them not only to enjoy the warm Australian hospitality but also to practice their English.

They will have the opportunity to have an “inside experience” of what Australian families do as part of their weekly routine. All meals will be provided including a packed lunch during classes.
